Essex-based Housebuilder Shortlisted in National Awards

Proving that quality and affordability for first time buyers can go hand in hand, Higgins Homes, an Essex based housebuilder, has been shortlisted in two categories at the prestigious First Time Buyer Readers’ Awards.

The Awards are some of the most acclaimed in the industry and celebrate the sectors that support first time buyers. Higgins Homes has been shortlisted in two categories: Best Small Development and Private Developer of the Year.

Higgins Homes has been nominated for Alphabet in NW6 for the Best Small Development. The category aimed to demonstrate developments that used the best design and quality to create desirable, affordable, and inspiring environments to allow people to set up their first home. Alphabet is a stylish new development of 30 one, two and three bedroom apartments, set around a beautifully landscaped courtyard. With smart interiors and a high specification, residents also benefit from access to outside space with every apartment featuring a balcony or winter garden.

The judges were also looking for schemes that fit into the local environment and can show how the design stands out and appeals to the target market. Higgins Homes had to also show what contribution they had made to improvements in the wider community.

Some of the areas in which judges awarded Higgins Homes on were site safety, sales staff, quality of information provided to prospective customers, standard of after sales service and overall customer care.

The annual Awards highlight the many lengths housebuilders go to help buyers onto the ladder. Higgins Homes have an ethos to deliver aspirational properties within the budget of the first time buyer and to help them through the entire process, when much of it is unknown and can seem overwhelming.

Higgins Homes and the other shortlisted nominees will be showcased in First Time Buyer magazine in the June/July and August/September editions and on the FTBawards.com website from Monday 16 May 2022. All voting will take place online.
