Located in a quiet corner of Wandsworth, Earlsfield was overlooked for many years in favour of its more celebrated neighbours, Wimbledon and Clapham. In a way, Earlsfield represents the best of Zone 3. It’s relaxed and low-key compared with central areas, but has strong transport links, albeit not underground ones. And right in the heart is Garratt Lane, a vibrant street which connects Wandsworth High Street to Tooting Broadway.

By rail, regular trains from Earlsfield station to Waterloo, take just 13 minutes. Alternatively, it’s 19 minutes to Victoria with a change at Clapham Junction.  Nearby Southfields and Wimbledon Park are both on the District Line and about 25 minutes’ walk from Garratt Lane. Local bus routes include the 44 (to Victoria), 77 (to Waterloo) and 270 (to Putney Bridge). The N44 night bus runs from Aldwych.

If you are looking for retail therapy, perfect one-stop shopping destination is just at the top of Garratt Lane.  Southside Shopping Centre is the fifth largest indoor shopping centre in London. Home to a number of high street favourites including H&M, TK Maxx and Oliver Bonas. Garratt Lane is largely filled with independent cafes and restaurants, while Southside enjoys a number of fast food chains including McDonalds, Nando’s, Krispy Kreme and Wagamama, ideal for those stopping for a mid-shopping spree meal!

Southside also houses 14-screen Cineworld multiplex cinema plus the ARRTI Gallery, a breath-taking mix of uplifting, colourful, and affordable art brought to you by local artists.  Wandsworth is also home to its own intimate fringe theatre, Tara Arts, featuring a 100 seat theatre, outdoor patio and rehearsal space.

One of the perks of Earlsfield living is the area’s close proximity to numerous green spaces, including Garratt Park. This fantastic open space is great for nature lovers with its glorious greenery, dedicated spaces and a great range of outdoor facilities including a grass sports pitch, football area and a children’s playground, whilst green fingered locals benefit from the Garratt Park allotments.

Or take a picnic and enjoy the 55 acres of nearby King George's Park or take a stroll along the Wandle Trail, running parallel to Garratt Lane from the River Thames to Plough Lane and beyond up to East Croydon.
